FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalysis. Described is a catalyst for dehydrogenating paraffin hydrocarbons in a stationary layer, comprising chromium oxide deposited on an aluminum oxide-based support, which is obtained from re-precipitated aluminum hydroxide in amount of 10–80 wt% and aluminum hydroxide of mixed phase composition in amount of 90–20 wt%, obtained by thermochemical activation, and catalyst contains 18–40 wt% chromium oxide and has total pore volume of 0.24–0.45 cm3/g, wherein the volume of mesopores with radius of 2–10 nm is 0.06–0.16 cm3/g, a macropore volume having radius of 100–1,000 nm of 0.07–0.15 cm3/g and a specific surface area of 70–110 m2/g.
EFFECT: high activity, selectivity and strength of the catalyst.
