FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalysts. Described is a support for a catalyst for dehydrogenating paraffin hydrocarbons in a stationary layer based on active aluminum oxide, wherein aluminum oxide precursor is a composition from re-precipitated aluminum hydroxide in amount of 10–80 wt% and 90–20 wt% of aluminum hydroxide, obtained by thermo-chemical activation of gibbsite, and bidispersed carrier has a structure represented by mesopores with radius of 2–10 nm, the amount of which is 0.20–0.30 cm3/g, and macropores with radius of 100–1,000 nm, the volume of which is 0.06–0.18 cm3/g, a total pore volume of 0.30–0.60 cm3/g and a specific surface area of 100–250 m2/g.
EFFECT: obtaining a bidispersed structure carrier with improved properties, high mechanical strength and high specific surface area.
