FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Active biomechanical carpal prosthesis contains at least one two-joint external cylinder, a cylindrical wheel with a spiral cut, sleds installed on the wheel, and at least one motor. Biarticular external cylinder is made in the form of a finger and consists of three serially connected hollow cylinders. In each biarticular cylinder there is an internal biarticular rod of three serially interconnected cores with possibility of bending of external biarticular cylinder. Cylindrical wheel is made with possibility of rotation for movement of transverse rod, which sets movement of associated with it lower inner rod and middle hollow external cylinder. Slides are made in the form of brackets with slots for movement of transverse rod and fasten motor and pin. Motor is attached to brush base and drives cylindrical wheel due to signals from pressure sensors installed on surface of residual muscle of hand.
EFFECT: invention provides high strength, carrying capacity and wear resistance with expansion of device functionality.
