FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric power engineering and can be used for remote determination of short-circuit point (SCP) on single-circuit power transmission lines (PTL) without taps with voltage of 110 kV and higher, which are under operating voltage. Essence: in the method of remote SCP on a power transmission line equipped with digital current and voltage transformers synchronized with a common time system, the damaged phases are determined, instantaneous synchronous instantaneous values of phase currents, voltages and derivatives of phase currents are determined. In the pre-emergency operating mode of the line the synchronized vectors of phase currents and voltages are determined, the value of the propagation constant and the line wave resistance value is determined. Complex resistance of the forward and zero sequences is calculated. For single-phase or phase-to-phase faults, relative distance to fault point is determined, absolute distance to short circuit point is calculated.
EFFECT: technical result: higher accuracy of remote determination of short circuit point at power line under operating voltage.
