FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing spherical articles based on zirconium dioxide with a transformable tetragonal crystalline phase and can be used for making porous wear-resistant parts or carrier catalysts and sorbents, as well as filter for cleaning exhaust gases and waste water. Method of making spherical products based on zirconium dioxide stabilized with calcium oxide, includes preliminary wet grinding of zirconium dioxide with a stabilizer in a vibrating mill for obtaining a slurry, in which a dispersant and an aqueous solution of sodium alginate are added, then evacuated and dosed in form of drops through nozzle into curing agent solution. Resulting pellet was washed, dried, placed in a high temperature oven and sintered at temperature of 1000–1200 °C is used as a basis baddeleyite concentrate which is preliminarily milled to particle size of ZrO2 of less than 30 nm and mechanically activated by combined wet high-energy grinding with stabilizer CaO (2 wt %). Molding suspension is prepared at the following ratio of components, wt %: stabilized baddeleyite nanopowder 39.5–49.5, distilled water 25–30, aqueous solution 3–4 wt % of sodium alginate 25–30, dispersant Dolapix CE 64 0.5. Molding suspension is homogenized by ultrasound and degassed before introduction into the hardener.
EFFECT: technical result of invention is simplification of granules production method.
