FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to anaesthesiology and intensive care. Disclosed is a method for preventing postanaesthesia agitation with xenon inhalation. 10 minutes before the end of anaesthesia, halogen-containing anaesthetic is stopped in the anaesthetic device breathing circuit and starting xenon under control of gas analyser to achieve values of 70 % : 30 % in ratio of xenon-oxygen respectively in respiratory gas mixture, which patient is inhaled for 10 minutes.
EFFECT: invention provides effective prevention of postanaesthesia agitation following anaesthesia with a halogen-containing anaesthetic.
