FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to anaesthesiology and intensive care and concerns a method for prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting. To maintain anaesthesia, a combination of preparations is used: xenon inhalation at a gas flow of 2 l/min with FiO2=30% until its concentration in the inhaled gas mixture is 50–55% and subsequent maintenance of said concentration in a closed breathing circuit at a gas flow of 150–200 ml/min with FiO2 of not less than 35%. Intravenous administration of dexmedetomidine in regimen of 0.5 mcg/kg/h is carried out immediately after induction of anaesthesia and is stopped 20 minutes before completion of the operation; nefopam diluted in physiological saline 20 ml in regimen of 0.2 mg/kg/h 1 hour before the end of the operation, as well as a single bolus intravenous introduction of dexamethasone in dose of 0.1 mg/kg 1 hour before the end of the operation.
EFFECT: invention provides prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting in the intraoperative period during anaesthetic management.
