FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to endocrinology and can be used for diagnosing coronary artery calcinosis in a patient with secondary hyperparathyroidism. Content of intact parathyroid hormone, calcium, phosphorus is determined in patient's blood serum; patient's age is taken into account. Calcification level (LC) is determined by the original calculation formula and when the value LC is greater than 0 establish the presence of calcification, and at a value equal to LC and less than 0 – no calcification.

EFFECT: method enables extending the diagnostic capabilities of coronary artery calcinosis in the patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism receiving the renal replacement therapy by hemodialysis, while having ease of implementation, does not require specialized equipment and instruments and does not carry a radiological load on the body of the patient.
