FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely, to hydrogen power engineering and can be used in operation of fuel cell batteries on vehicles. Batteries of fuel elements are arranged in a sealed container with a cover with a gas connection, at that, to the fuel elements through the pressure tight terminals of the container, power cables of batteries are supplied, control cable for operation of fuel cell batteries, air and hydrogen supply pipes, water discharge pipes from fuel elements, water supply-discharge pipes of the temperature control system for cooling of operating fuel elements. Sealed container during operation of fuel cell stack is filled with gaseous nitrogen at overpressure through gas nozzle, which is more than working pressure of hydrogen and oxygen in fuel elements. At possible depressurisation of fuel cell battery in order to avoid hydrogen leaks into sealed container, gaseous nitrogen is used, which is filled with working cavities of fuel cell batteries through formed leaks or cracks, than fuel cells battery operation is automatically stopped. Fuel cell batteries depressurisation is detected by reduction of its power or its complete shutdown, after which inspection and testing of the fuel cell battery is performed and the detected faults are eliminated.
EFFECT: improving operating reliability of a battery of fuel cells of a vehicle due to increasing its explosion and fire safety.
