FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to abdominal surgery. Colonoscope is introduced into colon of pericolic abscess. Silicone tube with diameter of 2 to 2.5 mm is inserted through the colonoscope instrumental canal. Colonoscope is then inserted into the cavity of diverticulum and the diverticulum wall is punctured through its mouth. Silicone tube is delivered into the abscess cavity. Control ultrasound or CT is performed. After that, the colonoscope is removed, and the silicone tube is left in the causative diverticulum lumen to its independent exit.
EFFECT: method reduces traumatism, enables to avoid open surgery and ostomy, reduces number of septic and postoperative complications, expands indications for abscess drainage.
