FIELD: means of requesting system information.
SUBSTANCE: transmitting a request for at least one group of system information blocks, each of which contains one or more system information blocks, from a user terminal to a base station, wherein one or more system information blocks are grouped according to feature of one or more system information blocks, which feature is any one of functions of one or more blocks of system information and periodicity of one or more system information blocks. Receiving one or more groups of system information blocks from a base station, wherein one or more groups of system information blocks comprise said at least one group of system information blocks. Said request transmission comprises a step, which transmits a preamble for indicating said at least one group of system information blocks.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of volume of transfer of system information.
