SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and a device for manufacturing a semi-finished tipping paper blank stock for rod-shaped articles. Method of production of the semi-finished product of the tipping paper blank for manufacture of tipping paper for rod-like products includes the following stages: providing a continuous strip of tipping paper extending in a longitudinal direction and having two opposite longitudinal edges; said continuous strip is cut along a plurality of transverse cutting lines, separated from each other in the longitudinal direction of the continuous strip, to form a plurality of semi-finished products of the tipping paper. Each transverse cutting line comprises a straight transverse section, extending transversely from each longitudinal edge to intersection with arc-shaped central portion, and arc-shaped central portion forming tongue, which protrudes into recess in next adjacent semi-finished product of tipping paper, so that each semi-finished blank paper blank has edge with transverse tab and opposite edge with transverse recess. At that, providing continuous strip of tipping paper with two perforation lines passing in longitudinal direction, one on each side between longitudinal edge and arc-shaped central sections, said perforation lines passing in longitudinal direction intersecting with cutting transverse lines.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of formation of wastes of rim paper, maintaining purity and hygiene of end of rod-shaped article.
