SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aerosol-generating product. An aerosol-generating product (10) is comprised of an aerosol-generating substrate (12); a filter (14) axially aligned with the aerosol-generating substrate, wherein the filter (14) comprises at least one water-dispersible filtering component (16), water-dispersible under EN14987:2006 test conditions, and a rim cover (20) wrapped around the filter (14) and at least a part of the aerosol-generating substrate (12). The rim cover (20) is comprised of a first loosened line (22) passing around at least a part of the rim cover (20), a detachable part (26) of the rim cover extending downstream from at least one loosened line (22) and at least partially overlapping the water-dispersible filtering component (16), and an upstream part (24) of the rim cover extending upstream from the first loosened line (22). The upstream part (24) of the rim cover is attached to the downstream part of the aerosol-generating substrate (12) and to the upstream part of the filter (14). Removing the detachable part (26) of the rim cover at least partially exposes the underlying water-dispersible filtering component (16).
