FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of applying a paint coat and means for adjusting their application, in particular to a roll adhesive tape for painting. Technical result is achieved due to that method for formation of smooth transition of paint coating to unprocessed surface using painting tape is characterized by the fact that prior to application of paint coat on surface intended for painting, lateral side of tape base is bent by adhesive composition inside and is glued to unprocessed surface so that bent side of adhesive tape was directed towards processed surface, on which the paint coat is to be applied, and when the required length is reached, the wound portion of the band is cut off.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to increase performance of finishing joint of two lacquer coatings.
