FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spectrum sharing between radio access technologies. A method for sharing spectrum between radio access technologies is carried out by a base station. Method comprises steps of: providing a wireless network over a first set of communication resources, wherein the wireless network uses a first radio access technology (RAT); receiving a notification that additional communication resources are temporarily available for the base station, which are used to temporarily increase the bandwidth of the wireless network, and allocated to other wireless network using second RAT, different from first RAT; in response to receiving this notification, providing a wireless network on a second set of communication resources, including said additional communication resources; after said additional communication resources are no longer available for a base station, providing a wireless network over a third set of communication resources, which eliminates said additional communication resources.
EFFECT: technical result of invention consists in expansion of frequency spectrum of new wireless network.
