SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the electrical equipment. Present invention discloses a method of regulating voltage and current in a direct current transmission system. Method includes: calculating an initial value of DC voltage in a voltage source converter at a circuit end for monitoring DC voltage, based on the fact that at the end of the circuit for monitoring DC voltage in the pole of the network of the DC transmission system, DC voltage is actually monitored; application of obtained 1/2 initial value of DC voltage in converter of voltage source as displacement by DC voltage in arm of bridge of converter of voltage source, as well as calculating the difference between the initial DC voltage value in the voltage source converter and the measured DC voltage value, as well as subsequent input of the difference into the external DC voltage control circuit in the voltage source converter to create a closed control loop and to monitor the DC voltage or direct current in the DC network pole.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of DC voltage and current control.
