FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and system for determining faults and recovering a voltage converter. Method includes: interlocking of converter substation in case of detection of that alternating current voltage contains voltage of zero sequence or DC voltage contains unbalanced voltage; error determination by continuation of determination of voltage of zero sequence of alternating current branch of converter; and restoration of operation of each substation after fault is installed. Method of faults and recovery detection is simple and practical, it has high reliability and enables to effectively detect problems, that each substation contains voltage of zero sequence of alternating current branch and can not easily establish error caused by that voltage of zero sequence of alternating current branch is transferred by voltage converter to alternating current system of opposite branch; meanwhile, with the help of recovery method, serviceable conversion substation can get rid of the effect of faulty conversion substation operation for fast recovery, fast recovery is carried out on the basis of the voltage converter system and application of the method of transformer-free conducting in the voltage converter is possible.
EFFECT: invention reduces the occupied space of the converter substation, reduces losses and reduces production costs.
