FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy. System comprises a two-level magnetic structure comprising an upper magnetic core structure (8) mounted on the mold upper part, and lower magnetic core structure (13) mounted on mold bottom part. Side coils (9-1, 9-8) on the upper magnetic structure (8) are configured to control and create the first magnetic field in the first direction, and internal coils are configured to control and create a second magnetic field in a second direction simultaneously with the first magnetic field. Structure (13) of the lower magnetic core has lower coils (15-1, 15-4), which are made with possibility of control and creation of the third magnetic field in the first direction simultaneously with creation of magnetic fields by side coils and internal coils.
EFFECT: double flow circulation is provided during casting of slab, at which jet from nozzle is directed to narrow surface of shape, then upwards to surface of meniscus, after which the upper recirculation loop passes through the meniscus from the narrow surface to the nozzle, which enables to remove inclusions from the poured metal.
