FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used for production of metal polyhedral profiles of high accuracy with increased strength properties. Proposed method comprises rolling of round billet in multi-roll mandrel composed by smooth rolls assembled into lock. At that, after rolling each face of the profile is treated with cylindrical strikers performing high-frequency back-and-forth oscillations. At that, the strikers are installed at an angle to the treated surface, the value of which is in range of 20–70°.
EFFECT: invention provides more complete study of surface layers of metal due to high shear deformations.
