SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an echo cancellation device, an echo cancellation method and an echo cancellation program. When sound is output from speaker and only output sound is supplied to microphone, for each frequency band, comparison is carried out for each of different frequency bands between frequency mask generated based on power spectrum or amplitude spectrum for training signal transmitted through transmitted signal path, and a power spectrum or amplitude spectrum value for the microphone input signal for detecting presence of the simultaneous conversation state. If it is detected that the signal is not transmitted through the transmitted signal path and that the signal is transmitted through the received signal path, the echo canceller is used to perform echo cancellation processing in the input signal.
EFFECT: enabling accurate detection of the state of simultaneous conversation and efficient suppression of the echo based on the detection result.
