FIELD: chemical or physical processes.
SUBSTANCE: exhaust gas processing systems for gasoline exhaust gas flow processing are described. Exhaust gas treatment systems comprise an ammonia formation catalyst and a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst, located downstream of ammonia formation catalyst. Ammonia formation catalyst contains NOx accumulation component, substrate based on refractory metal oxide, platinum component and palladium component. Ammonia formation catalyst is essentially free of cerium oxide. Components of palladium and platinum are present at ratio of platinum to palladium of more than about 1 to 1.
EFFECT: disclosed is an exhaust gas treatment system.
