FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Intraoperatively after recanalisation of structures of vertical part of lachrymal passages (LP) medialisation of inferior nasal concha is carried out under endoscopic control and tamponade of the mouth of the nasolachrymal duct (NLD) with a biodegradable material – a haemostatic sponge based on gelatine 99.3% and sodium lauryl sulphate 0.7%. That is followed by the antegrade introduction of a cohesive viscoelastic that is 1.6% sodium hyaluronate into the LP. In postoperative period 7 days later, the tampon is removed under endoscopic control, and the LP is washed with 0.1% dexamethasone followed by the repeated tamponade of the NLD mouth with the haemostatic sponge and the introduction of a cohesive viscoelastic into the LP. Then said procedure is repeated regularly every 7 days throughout from 6 to 12 weeks to abate reactive phenomena in postoperative period.

EFFECT: method enables restoring the patency of the structures of the upper LP without using lachrymal implants, avoiding the development of intraoperative and postoperative complications related to the LP stenting.
