FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to assessment of transport-operational condition of road surfaces of motor roads and adjacent territories. Device for evaluating road surface condition consists of laser scanner and signal conversion equipment. Scanner consists of a housing in which there is a frame with discs rotating on bearings, receiving and transmitting laser radiation with a mirror coating, which is driven into rotation by electric motors. Transmitting disc is asymmetrically shifted relative to the axis of rotation, and the frame is fixed on the bearings in the housing of the device and driven by the motor. Information taken from the receiving disc through the optical system, the PIR detector, the signal processing circuit, the processing system in digital form is recorded into the magnetic memory.
EFFECT: proposed device makes it possible to control state of road at considerable distance from service station.
