FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for manufacturing a drug delivery device, which has a body comprising a siloxane-based elastomer and at least one active agent, wherein the method comprises bringing an adhesive material which contains an uncured siloxane-based elastomer into contact with the body and curing said adhesive by exposing it to radiation energy from a laser source having a wavelength in range of 1100–2000 nm and laser output power in range of 20–200 W.
EFFECT: invention provides a fast and effective method for preparing a drug delivery device, preventing thermal exposure to an active agent.
