SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to devices for drug delivery and methods for drug intake by patients. Device (50) includes tank (60), in which drug (58) is contained. Tank (60) is limited with wall (64), in which there is a water-permeable section, due to which this water-permeable section allows water to penetrate device (50) and contact with drug (58). Limiting plug (56) closes a hole of device (50), due to which transition micro-channels (62) are formed between elastic section (54) of device (50) and limiting plug (56), and they provide release of drug (58) from device (50) after creation pressure inside tank (60), sufficient for providing such a release. Besides, methods for the treatment of patients with neurogenic detrusor overactivity resulting from spinal cord injury, and/or methods for the treatment of idiopathic hyperactivity of the bladder and urinary incontinence are proposed.
