SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to monitoring patient's inhalation of contaminant in air. Disclosed is an apparatus comprising a computer-readable medium for realizing a method, the apparatus comprising a processor unit configured to determine or obtain measurement results of the amount of airborne contaminant around the patient and amount of patient's inhaled air, and to combine said measurement results to determine amount of airborne pollutant inhaled by patient, wherein said combination is carried out by multiplying the amount of airborne contaminant by the amount of air inhaled by the patient over a required period of time or integrating the results of measuring the amount of airborne contaminant around the patient and the amount of air inhaled by the patient for a given period of time.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides more effective monitoring of patient's inhalation of contaminant in air.
