SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glass, particularly, to vacuum glass and method of its production. Method of making vacuum glass, comprising the following steps: i) closing the cavity with a glass body and a seal and arranging the getter in said cavity; ii) heating the product of step i) in a vacuum medium, thereby creating a vacuum in said cavity, welding said seal and said glass body and activating said getter; iii) cooling the product of step ii), and then obtaining a vacuum glass. At step ii) temperature increase rate decreases, or temperature increase stops, as soon as bubbles start forming in compactor.
EFFECT: technical result is production of vacuum glass with high degree of vacuum.
