FIELD: means for encoding video.
SUBSTANCE: encoding current picture of video data. Generating corresponding pixel composite syntax element for one or more slices of current picture. Performing bit stream matching verification only for slices from one or more slices, which do not have an intra slice type and for which a temporal predictor of the motion vector is allowed. Checking bit stream matching limits values of corresponding elements of syntax of combined reference picture so that each corresponding element of syntax of combined reference picture indicates the same picture and does not refer to current picture itself. Slice type is determined for one or more slices, wherein the slice type includes one of the following: type P interlays, interlace type B, or intra slice type. It is determined whether temporal predictor of motion vector is allowed for inter-prediction for one or more slices.
EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of video encoding.
