FIELD: video data decoding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to video data decoding. The video data decoding method contains the following steps: decoding of one or more syntax elements at the level of the area tree of some area tree from the data tree structure for the video data coding tree block (CTB); defining, using syntax elements at the scope tree level, how the nodes of the scope tree are split into descendent nodes of the scope tree; decoding of one or more syntax elements at the prediction tree level for each of the leaf nodes of the domain tree of one or more prediction trees of the tree data structure for CTB; determining, using syntax elements at the level of the prediction tree, how the nodes of the prediction tree are divided into descendent nodes of the prediction tree; decoding the video data, including prediction data and transformation data, for each of the CU, based, at least in part, on the syntax elements at the level of the domain tree and the syntax elements at the level of the prediction tree.
EFFECT: invention provides ability to effectively signal the variation of the quantization parameter QP when using the structures of a multi-type tree or the structure of a quad-tree-binary tree QTBT.
