SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway automation for traffic control. In the method, rail vehicles (21, 22, 23, 24) determine their respective location in the rail vehicle network when generating information on location (P, P21, P22, P23, P24), each of rail vehicles (21, 22, 23, 24) transmits information (P, P21, P22, P23, P24) about its location to central device (30) on the side of the path; central device (30) directs further received information (P, P21, P22, P23, P24) on location to all rail vehicles (21, 22, 23, 24) in rail vehicles network and rail vehicles (21, 22, 23, 24) have the collision control device (130) belonging to the rail vehicle, respectively, checking received information (P, P21, P22, P23, P24) on location in terms of possible collision risk, collision with one or several other rail vehicles (21, 22, 23, 24), and in case of established collision risk generates warning signal (KWS) on collision.
EFFECT: higher safety of movement on single-track sections of the track.
