SUBSTANCE: method for controlling the temperature of the vehicle engine cooling water includes setting the lower limit value of the engine rotation speed in accordance with the cooling water temperature drop factor, wherein the lower limit value of the engine rotation speed is set to the lower limit rotation speed in the state of temperature rising when the temperature of the cooling water falls below a predetermined first threshold value. The engine speed lower limit value is not set when the cooling water temperature rises to a third threshold value that is higher than the first threshold value. The lower limit value of the engine speed is set to same in the support state, which is less than the lower limit value of the rotation speed in the temperature rising state when the temperature of the cooling water falls below the second threshold value, which is above the first threshold value and below the third threshold value. Also disclosed is an engine cooling water temperature control device.
EFFECT: rapid increase of the cooling water.
