FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for emergency shutdown of a traction power supply on an electrified line. The method includes the following steps: sending a signal from a rail vehicle located on the line or from an external mobile transmitting device to a receiving device, with the signal containing information on the desirable shutdown of the supply voltage or traction power supply on the line or the line section, information about the sender and information about the current position of the rail vehicle or mobile transmitting device, transmission of the signal from the receiving device to the separate point, at a separate point, shutdown of the supply voltage or traction power supply on the line or the line section in the separate point.
EFFECT: achieved is increase in security of methods for emergency shutdown of a traction power supply on an electrified line.
