FIELD: oil, gas and coke-chemical industries.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to petroleum refining and petrochemical industry, specifically to a catalyst for deep catalytic cracking of petroleum fractions for the production of C2-C4 olefins and high-octane gasoline and a method for production thereof. Microspherical cracking catalyst is obtained from a suspension which contains 25–35 wt. % of a solid residue. fine-grained zeolite ReHY, 30–35 wt. % kaolin, 25–44 wt. % sources of aluminium oxide, 1–10 wt. %. finely dispersed silicon dioxide and 1–10 wt. % starch, with concentration of suspension on dry substance of 450–600 g/l, and involving forming at spraying of suspension in medium of flue gases with temperature of 140–170 °C and calcination of obtained microspheres at temperature 650–680 °C in rotary tempering furnace.

EFFECT: technical result consists in production of microsphere catalyst of cracking with high parameters by volume of pores, high ratio of yields of diesel fractions to heavy residue and high catalytic activity with maintaining high wear resistance.
