FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to gas processing and gas chemical industry, in particular to production of adsorbents for cleaning natural and associated gases from undesirable impurities, such as hydrogen chloride, chlorine, hydrogen sulphide and mercaptans. It can be used in petrochemical, oil processing, nonferrous metallurgy, chemical industry and environmental protection. Activity of the disclosed adsorbent on binding acidic gases, such as hydrogen chloride, chlorine and hydrogen sulphide, is due to the presence of zinc oxide in the composition of the granules. Adsorption involves chemical binding of hydrogen chloride, chlorine and hydrogen sulphide to form zinc chloride or zinc sulphide. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure availability of the active ingredient in the granule. Fine-dispersed monohydrate of aluminum oxide of pseudo-boehmite modification after annealing at temperatures of 400–500 °C is converted into aluminum oxide, which is inert to acid gases and provides strength and stability of granules. Modified starch introduction into the mixture provides additional plasticity during molding. Also, after annealing, it burns out and provides additional accessibility of zinc oxide in pores of granules.
EFFECT: task of present invention consists in production of granular adsorbent with high strength and adsorption capacity on acid gases.
