FIELD: pharmaceutical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a coating for a device for delivering a hydrophobic therapeutic agent in the form of particles. Coating of device for delivery of hydrophobic therapeutic agent in form of particles contains polymer layer, wherein the polymer layer comprises a hydrophilic primer coat; matrix in contact with hydrophilic primer coat, wherein matrix comprises hydrophobic therapeutic agent in form of particles; cationic agent selected from a group consisting of polyethyleneimine and 1,2-dioleoyl-3-trimethylammonium propane (DOTAP); and zeta-based modifier containing polyacrylic acid (PAA), wherein the percentage of hydrophobic therapeutic agent in form of particles and cationic agent ranges from 99.9/0.1 to 70/30, w/w; and wherein the charge formed by the cationic agent, electrostatically attracted to negatively charged particles or polar groups associated with lipid bilayer of cell membrane and cell components inside lipid bilayer, facilitating transfer of hydrophobic therapeutic agent in form of particles into target tissue.
EFFECT: above coating effectively increases adhesion of hydrophobic therapeutic agent particles.
