FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. Described is coating composition for drug eluating medical devices, which contains insoluble in water medication and at least one compound, selected from group consisting of amino acids ester compounds, which have amino acid side chain hydrophobic properties index, equal to zero or less than zero, as well as their salts.
EFFECT: composition enables to deliver medical device to target tissue for treating blood vessel damage, such as restenosis, without easy separation of drug from medical device in process of delivery.
