METHOD OF HYDROACOUSTIC COMMUNICATION WITH HIGH-SPEED UNDERWATER OBJECT Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC G01S15/87

Abstract RU 2733489 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bistatic sonar methods, in which communication between spaced-apart receiver and transmitter is carried out via hydroacoustic channel. Method is intended for use in high-speed underwater objects (UO) and can be used both to obtain information from a transmitter and to solve a navigation task. Objective of the proposed method is to compensate for the Doppler distortion of the communication signal by determining it based on the received synchronizing signal and taking into account when detecting, demodulating and decoding the information signal. Synchronizing signal used is a tone signal or one of Kostas sequence realizations in form of 32 elementary tone signals. Proposed method for implementation of hydroacoustic communication with high-speed software provides for implementation of the following operations: emission of communication signal consisting of synchronizing signal and information signal with specified time interval between them; receiving a synchronization signal and determining a Doppler frequency shift of the communication signal. Receiving an information signal and detecting and decoding thereof based on information on Doppler shift of the preceding synchronizing signal. Thus, system described above, allows to transmit synchronizing and information signals along one channel, thereby providing coordination of these signals in time.

EFFECT: technical result of invention is possibility of hydroacoustic communication with high-speed software by means of Doppler shift compensation at detection, demodulation and decoding of information signal.
