FIELD: hydroacoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydroacoustics and can be used in long-range underwater digital communication systems under conditions of high level of multipath interference, with strong signal distortion due to the Doppler effect. Signal distortion due to reverberation and Doppler effect is levelled by introducing an algorithm for generating an output signal, which includes adding a complex phase-shift keyed signal of the M-sequence type to the information message, and processing the received signal, including correlation processing of the phase-shift keyed signal, in order to isolate individual arrivals of acoustic energy, using a Goertzel algorithm for decoding the information message.
EFFECT: increased distance of communication channel, increased noise immunity of underwater communication channel to multibeam interference with both small and long time delays of separate acoustic beams.
