FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: device for identification of inverted eggs of eggs batch contains heating module made with possibility of radiation flux impact on air cavity in each egg of egg batch. Device also comprises a visualization module with a thermal imaging camera configured to capture thermal images of the batch of eggs, when eggs are not exposed to radiation flux. Device further comprises an analysis module, configured to detect presence of hot zone in air cavity of each egg from thermal images and identification of inverted eggs based on presence of hot zone. Method for identification of inverted eggs from a batch of eggs includes heating a batch of eggs by means of a radiation source, such as an infrared radiation source, so as to create hot zone inside air cavity of each egg, essentially not heating other parts of eggs. Thermal imaging of eggs is captured, when eggs are not exposed to radiation source, analyzed to detect presence of hot zone and to identify inverted eggs.
EFFECT: invention provides increasing temperature inside air cavities of eggs without changing temperature inside their other parts, which enables to detect location of egg in an inverted position.
