BURNER FOR GAS TURBINE Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC F23D14/02

Abstract RU 2733568 C1

FIELD: burners.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to burners of gas turbines and can be used in any field of national economy where it is required to ensure combustion of hydrocarbon fuel with high quality, low level of emissions of hazardous substances, smoke and high completeness of combustion. Burner for gas turbine comprises swirler, having at least one inlet air hole, at least one outlet air hole located downstream of inlet air hole, and at least one swirler air channel extending from said at least one inlet air opening to said at least one outlet air hole and bounded by swirler air channel walls, as well as fuel injection holes. At the inlet of the swirler, an air duct is additionally installed, the passage area S1 of which is larger than the total area S2 of air channels of the swirler. Fuel injection main openings are arranged ahead of inlet air holes of swirler, and downstream there are additional fuel injection holes. Fuel supply mains and extra holes are isolated. Besides, air duct cross-section shape can be made as that of swirler cross-section shape, and also can be made other than swirler cross-section shape. Besides, main holes for fuel injection can be made with identical, as well as with different diameters.

EFFECT: invention improves mixture formation and regulation of the degree of mixing of fuel with air in the burner, increases efficiency, increases stability of combustion and complete combustion of fuel in the gas turbine.
