FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing reinforced thermoplastic composite material. Technical result is achieved by the method of making a thermoplastic prepreg, which includes fusion of a bundle of untwisted continuous fibres by means of its drawing through a fibre fusion system. Then the thermoplastic prepreg is formed by extrusion of a fused bundle of untwisted continuous fibres and thermoplastic polymer material in a viscous-flowing state in an impregnation die. At that, prior to supply of thermoplastic polymer material to the impregnating nozzle, thermoplastic polymer material, which is in a viscous-flow state, is subjected to ultrasonic cavitation using an ultrasonic radiator, the ultrasonic radiation from which acts on the polymer weight. Cooling of thermoplastic prepreg.
EFFECT: technical result is improved physical and mechanical properties of thermoplastic prepreg while reducing costs and time of making articles.
