FIELD: furnaces and ovens.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to burner (10) and to furnace (40) heating method used for metal processing by means of combustion in said fuel furnace (40) as a result of oxidizing gas supply to furnace (40) along oxidizing gas supply line (20) and supply to fuel furnace (40) along fuel supply line (30), wherein oxidising gas is supplied in form of central stream (24) of oxidising gas together with first annular flow (25) of shielding gas, wherein the rate of the oxidising gas central stream (24) is higher than the rate of the first annular flow (25) of the shielding gas and/or the fuel is fed in the form of a central fuel stream (34) together with the second annular flow (35) of the shielding gas, wherein central fuel flow rate (34) is higher than that of second annular flow (35) of shielding gas.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of NOx formation and provision of uniform heating of furnace.
