FIELD: mining industry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to conveyor systems intended for development by long faces. Disclosed is method of controlling system designed for development with long faces and comprising long-length extraction machine, conveyor and multiple mechanized roof support supports, in which: by means of the control device the conveyor load profile displaying the mineral distribution along the conveyor length is created, wherein the load profile is a multipoint load profile comprising a plurality of load profile points; calculating, by means of a control device, a desired change in load profile based on a plurality of points of the load profile of the conveyor; and controlled by control device by system, designed for development of long faces, for controlling distribution of mineral on conveyor based on desired change in load profile. Creation of a load profile for each of the load profile points includes steps of: determining the height of the mineral bulk on the conveyor; determining conveyor speed; points of the load profile are identified based on the determined height and speed of the conveyor, and a load profile point is added to the load profile.

EFFECT: technical result is optimization of conveyor speed depending on its load.
