FIELD: electronic equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrolytic cell for producing hydrogen by electrolysis of water, comprising anode chamber (10) and cathode chamber (9) separated by a solid polymer electrolyte alkaline membrane (4). Said anode chamber (10) comprises a positive electrode or anode (3) at least partially immersed in water layer (19), and said cathode chamber (9) comprises a negative electrode, or cathode (2), wherein said cell (1) is enclosed between first closing plate (7) and second closing plate (8), wherein in central part of said first closing plate (7) coupling element (22) is provided, wherein said clamping part (22) passes through said first closing plate (7), said cell (1) and said second closing plate (8), note here that coaxial to said clamping part 22 is central collector 21 for hydrogen transportation formed in said cathode chamber 9. Cell is characterized by that said central header (21) is connected to said cathode chamber (9) through hole (23) formed in said coupling part (22), wherein said cathode (2) is made as a single part and said anode (3) is made as a single part, so that surfaces of corresponding end parts of said cathode (2) and said anode (3), located, respectively, in peripheral zone and central zone of said cell (1), are made so that they can be subjected to mechanical high-precision processing operations, so as to make said surfaces adapted to accommodate one or more seals (16), which enable to withstand high operating pressures occurring when hydrogen is formed. Invention also relates to a battery.
EFFECT: disclosed cell has a simplified design.
