FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses structure of a cathode finger for a diaphragm electrolysis cells which has an inner volume and has at least one outer conducting net covered by a chemically inert porous diaphragm, and an inner reinforcing and current-distributing structure consisting of at least one plate which has a row of elongated main projections, the short side of which is open for passage of fluid media and the surface of which has a row of auxiliary projections directly welded onto the said conducting net. The invention also relates to an electrolysis cell and a chloroalkali electroplating technique using cathode fingers.
EFFECT: more efficient chloroalkali electrolysis due to improved design o cathode fingers.
