FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method of determining compatibility and stability of fuel mixture components, including sampling fuel mixture components, mixing them until homogeneous, heating the obtained mixture and then assessing compatibility of components, at that, before mixing of samples of fuel mixture components determining value of total precipitate of each sample and finding average value of total residue in samples (Sav), wherein subsequent heating of mixture obtained after mixing selected samples of components is carried out to temperature of 95 to 105 °C, with process exposure from 23 hours 30 minutes to 24 hours 30 minutes, then performing repeated mixing of the mixture and its filtration, further preparation of filters and their drying, then calculating the value of weight ratio of residue in mixture (Sc) by formula:

is the weight fraction of the precipitate in the mixture, wt%, is the weight of the upper filter after filtration, mg, is the weight of the upper filter before filtration, mg, is the weight of the lower filter after filtration, mg, is the weight of the lower filter before filtration, mg, is the sample weight, g, wherein two parallel experiments and calculations are carried out to determine the weight fraction of the residue in the mixture , after which the arithmetic mean value of the two determinations X is found, then calculating compatibility index of components of fuel mixture CI by formula

where – average value of the total sediment in selected samples wt%, – repeatability average total sediment in the samples taken, if the arithmetic mean value of the two determinations is greater than or equal to the compatibility index of the fuel mixture components, the fuel mixture components are not compatible, if the arithmetic mean value of the two determinations is less than the compatibility index of the components of the fuel mixture, the fuel mixture components are compatible and stable.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy of method for determination of compatibility and stability of components of fuel mixture at its simplification.
