SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cleaning of ventilation emissions and inlet air from microbiological, gaseous and aerosol contaminants at production facilities, in food industry, in cafes and restaurants and other institutions. Method of air cleaning, characterized in that non-insulated electrodes of gas-discharge cell are located between flat insulated electrodes, wherein non-insulated electrodes are blades, installed at an obtuse angle to the cleaned air flow and intended to deflect the cleaned air flow to the insulated electrode surface into the barrier discharge formation zone and provided with pins to form electric field inhomogeneities, required for formation of barrier discharge between insulated and non-isolated electrodes.
EFFECT: disclosed is air cleaning method using barrier discharge in air.
