FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas cleaning and dust removal installations used in industrial fields such as chemical, petrochemical, metallurgical, and serves to clean the air from fumes, dust and aerosols using electrostatic devices, in particular, of the tubular type and method of mounting, centering and tensioning the discharge electrode in the above devices. When implementing the method, the discharge electrode is placed and fixed vertically in the case of the air purification installation beyond its upper point. In this case, the corona electrode constitutes a single unit with a precipitation pipe, the free weight of which stretches and centers the corona electrode along the entire length of the precipitation pipe, and the electrode is fixed stationary on the insulator along the axis in the lower part of the precipitation pipe and freely passed through the axial opening of the insulator in the upper part of the precipitation pipe, which is located below the upper edge of the precipitation pipe at a distance of 1–3 times the diameter of this pipe.
EFFECT: reliability of the device increases, the design is simplified, the period of the service interval increases.
