FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing a foamed multilayer substrate, comprising obtaining a water-based foam containing at least 3 % by weight of indirect synthetic binder fibers, wherein the indirect synthetic binder fibers have an average length of more than 2 mm; co-forming a layer of a wet sheet made from water-based foam and a layer of cellulose fibers, wherein the cellulose fiber layer contains at least 60 wt% of cellulose fibers; and drying the combined layers to produce a foamed multilayer substrate. Multilayer substrate comprises first layer containing at least 60 % by weight of indirect synthetic binder fibers, having average length of more than 2 mm; and a second layer comprising at least 60 wt% cellulose fiber, wherein the first layer facing the second layer, and wherein the multilayer substrate is characterized by a wet / dry fracture strength ratio of at least 60 %.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing a foamed multilayer substrate.
