SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to experimental surgery, and can be used to simulate critical ischemia of lower extremities in experimental animals – rats. A complex operative removal of a site of the main vessels including femoral, popliteal, anterior and posterior tibial arteries and veins, as well as a sciatic nerve is performed.

EFFECT: method enables modeling of critical ischemia of lower extremities in experimental animals due to complex surgical removal of a portion of major vessels including femoral, popliteal, anterior and posterior tibial arteries and veins, as well as sciatic nerve, which is the most approximate model to critical ischemia in the human in obliterating diseases of arteries of the lower extremities.
